Empire: Total War Delayed to March

Creative Assembly's large-scale, Napoleonic-era strategy title Empire: Total War has been delayed to early March, according to publisher Sega.

Empire was originally expected to hit the PC on February 3, so we're looking at approximately one extra month of waiting before we get our pretty revolution simulator, and about two months before us history dorks all head out to the store for a new PC.

This game is fun because it's a pretty realistic in it's battles. You can redo famous historic battles and discover the tactics and strategies of the time.

Q&A: Empire: Total War's Multiplayer Modes
Creative Assembly explains campaign multiplayer and more.

Source and full Q&A Session: pc.ign.com (there are 3 pages)
January 22, 2009 - Fusing elements of Civilization-style overworld map management and large-scale real-time strategy battles, the formula for Creative Assembly's Total War series has remained a popular one since the franchise launched with Shogun: Total War back in 2000. The latest version, Empire: Total War, is set in the 18th Century, and will include real-time sea battles, new modes, and a brand new multiplayer components, including a post-release multiplayer campaign update.

To get a better idea of how all that is going to work, we took time to interview Creative Assembly Studio Communications Manager Kieran Brigden.

Empire: Total War is scheduled to ship on March 3, 2009.

Too bad that it is 1v1 initially but its better then nothing and maybe more players will be available later on.

Empire: Total War Demo Coming Tomorrow

Sega has confirmed to Shacknews that a demo for Creative Assembly's strategy sequel Empire: Total War will be released on Steam tomorrow at 4pm GMT (11am EST).

No word on what the demo will contain, but there is a high probability of massive battles and system crushing. Empire: Total War is set for a March 3 PC release.

That means Today at 17;00 for the most of us.

No preload.

This is a quote of a guy who seems to be working for Steam, short after this guy posted this a CA staff worker came out saying the same thing after having talked with Valve.

Not getting it on release day, then.
I mean, geez. It'll go at -1 kb/s.

I'll just wait a bit, maybe when the patch comes out for the multiplayer support.
